Hey guys! I'm completely lost on this one. I am trying to connect to my ecu and I get the following messages. My green light on my cable blinks when I attempt to connect to the ecu but I get nothing. Am I using the correct port? I tried all available ports but I still get nothing. I do have Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5. I tried uninstalling the ECMLink program and reinstalling it but I still have nothing. The only driver i'm allowed to install is the snow leopard version but still it used to work on my 2G DSM just fine. I just got my Eprom with link installed from ECMTuning. So I'm 100% sure that it works fine. What could my problem be? Here are some pictures of my settings and the available ports that I have.

After more digging I am seeing that my usb port is reading that the ECMLink cable is connected. Heres a picture. Why is the ecu not responding??? I have a fully functional ECU and chip just tested, a working cable, and the right programs installed. It has to be some kind of minor change. I assured the cable was on correct on both ends. I'm stumped???

Reinstall drivers for snow leopard, i upgrade to mountian lion and have no issues usy reinstalling driver or programs works nicely. I'm a snow leopard certifed tech, (ACMT)

It is clearly skipping the port you want as per the last pic. you are also trying to look for a TTY port which isn't what you want, try connecting to the CU port there with your serial number.

I've reinstalled the driver about 15 times. LOL same thing keeps happening.

I cant see the pics at work, are you using a keyspan?
Did you restart your mac after you installed the drivers. Mine kept missing the port till I restarted it.

Once your light turns a solid green, you'll be connected! Good Luck

I think I may be on to something guys. I have my 1990-1994 ECU pinout from ECMTuning's website and I am looking at harness C-61 (biggest harness) and I noticed that pin #2 has no wire connected into the harness. Pin #2 is listed as Diagnostics/Data Transfer Select. There is supposed to be a white wire in this pin. Could this be why my ecu is not responding back to my computer?? I also have a mess of wires that some previous owner spliced into. I'd really appreciate if a 1990 DSM owner could send me a picture of there harness C-61 So I can compare to mine. Here are the pics of my harness.

Here is the pinout that I am using.

Here are the pics.

You can see through pin #2 showing that there is no wire installed into that pin.

Here is the nasty wiring job done by previous owner.

I just ran a wire directly from pin 10 on the diagnostic connector to pin 2 on the ecu harness c-61 and still got nothing. I am not getting a response from the ecu??? I'm completely lost at this point?? Can anyone give a helping hand??

I will try to get the ECU pulled in the morning and take some pics. Hopefully that will clear some things up a bit. :thumb:
