Oil in Exhaust Port After New Head Install

If it's the same head with different/new guides/seals and parts in it, you could have a cracked head. Happened on a neon I built once, except it leaked coolant, and it was right out one of the exhaust runners.

    2gen transmission problem

Hook up the mount and make sure all of your bellhousing bolts are properly torqued, it may be something just as simple as the tranny clanking around under the hood.

Ebay XTD stage 3 clutch and flywheel

Interesting...I'm thinking next time I burn out a clutch I'll try out the stage 4 XTD...seems like lots of people have had good results.

Ebay XTD stage 3 clutch and flywheel

Sorry, I had the stage 3 (sprung 6-puck), not the stage 4. Definitely not enough clamp load for the clutch to work properly. The disc itself didn't wear down that much, it just gouged out the flywheel and pressure plate until they were out of spec.Even when I had my boost set down to 15psi...

Ebay XTD stage 3 clutch and flywheel

The eBay XTD Clutch and flywheel were pretty good for the first 2k miles but I could never launch the car with it in, it would just sit in place and slip. From a roll it grabbed awesome. Back then I was running 22psi on a 14b, IMO the act2600 is well worth the money, I can slip it all day long...

    Is .026 a good gap?

Looks like people have answered this for you before

Just installed downpipe. Now my car is acting really messed up.

Should be running 8psi? Do you have a boost gauge installed, and are you watching it the entire time you're on the throttle heavy to make sure it doesn't go past 8psi?You are probably getting more boost than you think because the waste gate cannot bypass enough exhaust to keep the turbo...

Found the problem...the shift cable wasn't connected to the manual valve and the trans was stuck in neutral the entire time...doh!ROFL

Alot of work, many boost leaks and some embarrassment

Glad to hear it's working out dude. How's that chip treating you? I wouldn't worry about the home made gasket though, I've been running one in my car for quite some time up to 26psi and it holds pretty good. Let's see some of those awd drifts now!!

Just doing a bit more to manage heat

I would think the downpipe would heat up the oil in the pan more than the pan would transfer heat out of the oil...

Resolved 2G Transmission Doesn't Go Into Gear Car Doesn't Move

Fluid was full, that's the real stumper. Turns out I'm not getting the car I'm just gonna help him put a different trans in it.

Resolved 2G Transmission Doesn't Go Into Gear Car Doesn't Move

No papers on it but he is the former owner of the 95 awd manual im driving right now and that one is pretty solid. The body on the car is really clean, it has a rebuilt title but I can't find anywhere on the car that has been bent including the underbody it all looks really straight, another...

Resolved 2G Transmission Doesn't Go Into Gear Car Doesn't Move

I'm looking at buying a 95 awd auto that is in pretty decent shape, but the transmission seems to be giving trouble. It does not move in any gear, it feels like it's in neutral all the time. The owner says the transmission was just rebuilt, he didn't say whether or not it moved at all...
