LOL, yes it does Shane! I highly doubt it'll get close to 11.... esp with me driving it. ha! It does feel awesome now with the higher boost. That little thing has some kick once you let it spool. Speaking of which, the car is a blast on an autox course. That turbo spools so quick; makes it quite fun to drive despite being lower on horsepower compared to most of the cars on here.

I do plan on getting it out to the track once we get back from Monster Mopar. I need to see how to does before the shootout and see if that clutch in it will hold up. Was told that is my weak point right now.

Thank you everyone for the words of encouragement. I know I've said it a million times, but they do mean a lot to me, as this car is always a WIP still on a small turbo, and far from the caliber of a number of dsms on here. :)

Hey its all about what works for you not everyone needs high hp to enjoy cars, I prefer a well balanced car with attention to just about everything handling, hp, goals, and most important some fun whether the street, track, or autocrossing. That's when you realize how much you enjoy it using it on multiple platforms, see you in ohio mary.

I have been looking everywhere for a carbon fiber hatch to the back. Where did you buy it? God damn I love this build.

:)

The hatch was from a group buy on here.

Well, after driving the car 690 miles over the past 10 days with some autox in between, glad to be back! Both events were a blast.. and now looking forward to the Shootout!

Took 2nd in Special Interest at SDAC-23, and 1st in FWD/AWD modified at Monster Mopar. :)

Thanks!! Debating on taking it up to GLD this weekend, as long as I can get caught up on the video and photo stuff from this past week. :)

I also gotta get rid of the rest of the no-fun 93 in the tank! The thing only used 1/2 tank to go 200-ish miles. Darn 4-bangers and their gas mileage. ;)

Got to take the car to the dragstrip over the weekend. Happy to say that I finally saw my first 12-sec timeslip! A few times!

Granted, these are nothing spectacular, as I was not launching the car, and not shifting it hard. Truthfully, its because I need more practice. But to "be cool" I can say its because I'm saving it for the shootout. ;) haha!

My best time was a [email protected]. Below is a photo of some of the time slips. I left in the 14-sec one because its funny, as I managed to still beat a 00-ish Mustang GT coasting through the traps due to the coil plug coming loose and causing it to misfire. :)

Took a 2nd place in the "FWD" 95-up class at the Belvidere Mopar Happening car show this weekend. Drove the car up there and back... so still seems to be running good for the Shootout! Also planning on doing brakes this weekend. Just had a set of calipers powder coated. :)

There was a beautiful Dodge Stealth at the show, too. (He took 3rd in the 78-94 FWD class.. oh, we both got lumped into the FWD class since an AWD one would have been too small) Had to do a photo with the car!

Nothing major to report, as she sits waiting for the shootout, now! I did bleed the brakes, and put the new pads on the rear, after exchanging the wrong ones out... then washed it. Also, decided that we needed to play with the custom bikini made of real carbon fiber. So here's a pic of the car and I.

However, carbon fiber does not make good clothing material... it doesn't "shape," so it was more of a pain to get it to not look all weird. But a cool novelty item, none the less.

Good deal! :) Yeah, sometimes it is best to not rush it. There's always next year! I'm just hoping at this point that the car stays together to at least get a few runs out of it. It's been fine all summer, but ya never know!

Just did some catching up on this thread. All I can say is WOW! Looks like things are really coming together nicely! :thumb: Great job and good luck at the Shootout!

Thanks! :)

Yup, hoping she will hold together for the max effort class. Should do ok, since smaller turbos shine on autocross courses. But it all really depends on driver. :) You all may get to see it break on the line for the last pass, as i will launch it at least once, darnit!! It has the MPH for a low 12/high 11... would LOVE to see an 11.9 out of it. So we shall see if I can get rid of the launch jitters!

Thanks! :)

Ahhh... the launch jitters... I know.:| I sometimes get the launch jitters so bad that I have to turn the heat on my legs/feet to get myself to settle down. My damn leg gets to shaking and I can't work the damn clutch right. LOL It seems to get better the more I run throughout the day/night, but that first time or two taking the tree I always get jumpy. :idontknow: :)

Yup! I think it has something to do with not racing in a while, and thus loosing the comfort level. The last time I took the car out, I darn near stalled the thing on the line. hahaha!

But the 60-fts are killing me.. got FWD street tire 60-fts with an awd car. "ain't nobody got time for that!" So we shall see, I'm already getting nervous since its been over a month now since I last ran it down the track.

Don't launch when the light turns green. Get your launch down then work the tree. SO wait till your ready to launch after it turns green. As long as you don't roll the beams it wont start the timer. That's my advise.
