2G Test Shift control solenoid while in car (95 GSX A/T)

how would you go about testing the shift control solenoids while the solenoids are still in the car? multimeter using resistance? pictures would be greatly appreciated (TCU codes 44 and 84)

The shift control solenoid harness comes out of the case through a grommet and has red, orange, yellow, and blue wires. Follow it to the shift control solenoid valve connector and unplug it. check for resistance there. The orange and yellow wires are for solenoids "A" and "B" respectively. The codes you have are for shift solenoid "B" so you need to specifically check the resistance of the yellow wire. They both should be around 22 ohms. You hook one end of a multimeter to body ground and the other end to the solenoid wires and measure for resistance. Hope that helps you out
