Need help with clutch switch!

My clutch switch doesn't work because the rubber/plastic insert on the pedal is missing.(90 eclipse gsx)

Any body know what it's called or where I can get one? Or some other way to fix it.


Thanks for the replies. After calling the dealer it's ordered and on the way. The part number listed is missing a number should read MB151298 They say it fits both brake and clutch pedal.

Go to the junkyard and pull one off a car there?

There are two rubber bumpers used on the clutch pedal, one for the clutch safety switch and one for the cruise switch. MB004185 (Clutch Pedal Stopper) and MB151298 (Brake Pedal Stopper) I forget which spot uses which part or if you can fit the Brake Pedal Stopper into both spots.

Some people have replaced them with a bolt threaded and adjusted to push the switch down. I suspect that's harder on the switch but it will do in a pinch.

Mitsubishi Dealers will have a nice diagram to use and even part numbers. I use a Mitsu dealer all the time if I need to know exactly what it looks like stock. the kid before me messed with a lot of stuff that I had to correct, and if it wasn't for the mitsu dealer I would have never figured out the mess.

The dealers use CAPS or ASA, the replacement for CAPS. That's where I pulled those part numbers from. The diagrams for the clutch pedal assembly strangely use the same item number for both stoppers but show up as two different parts.
