This calls my phone when the car is being broken into. Also I can text it Lock/Unlock/Start, etc... and the car will do just that.

Its ready to install, just need some time. PS(sorry for vertical vid. Im too lazy to fix or retake)

Very interesting! I would love to develop something like this myself (as I want it on my 2g later) but it's great to see someone else on the board interested in such things. When you get it finished I'd be more than happy to see results

i install these every once in a while (MECP technician) and while the concept is great, the practicality and functionality is pretty low at this point, from what ive seen. we have major problems with the system sending/receiving and getting signal (has to have a good cell signal).

once they get a couple more generations under the belt, i think it will work much better. as of right now, its best for business ppl who fly alot, and park in long term lots. past that, a good 2 way system from viper, avital, compustar etc. is just as effective and has good range (1-5 miles), just doesnt necessarily as "bling".

Lock/unlock is more of a backup feature for me. The alarm is key so I can actually do something if my car is getting broken into. I live in an area that always has service. Viper key fobs aren't lout enough on the alarm 2 way. I will sleep through it. I have an app on my phone where if the car alarm calls me, it goes to max loud and plays the most obnoxious sound so I can wake up. Also it was made at a much better price point (for parts and yearly service) than viper.

In car demo. The phone I was using to record had no more memory so I only got the lock/unlock part. Clearly everything else will work, its just relays... Also I rushed, I should have waited for the confirmation before sending the next command but whatever... The confirmation came up anyway.
