Car Is Dead

Went to service station to put in master cylinder and slave cylinder, and then was told that starter was bad because my car wont start. They put a new starter in my car and still same problem. The lights come on but nothing happens, anyone has any suggestions?

i had the problem 90% of the time its the battery cable..check and see if they are clean..also check the alt fuse..good luck..when my car had this problem the lights would come on so would the radio..but if i turn the key they would die out..
