Hey, just picked up a 1998 eclipse with the 420a for $300, so cheap because the rod was knocking somthing fierce. The body was straight so I figured why not? Ended up blowing the motor attempting to get it home so I'm on the lookout for a 420a and tranny to swap in. I do plan on building and turbo'ing the 420a, yea, I know, waste of time and money just go get a gst. Well, I have this car now and am going to make the best of it. I'll probally won't post a whole lot, I'll mainly be on here looking up stuff, doing research, all that jazz. When I have progress I'll start a build thread. I'll see you guys around, thanks!
And this is why you don't be like me and when your motor starts knocking don't drive it! Blew the rod with enough force to blow the starter off the tranny. Looking back, I'm extremely lucky and a complete idiot, that could have been dangerous for me and anyone else around. Disaster averted, lesson learned.
