Hey what's up everybody new to the forum but not new to forums I'm active at evolutionm and just wanted to read up on turbos and see how different people run their turbos. I am currently attempting to turbo my N/A lancer ralliart and was told this site had good information and also a good source for turbo parts. I am going to be running a cheap eBay 16g hoping to make 230 whp.

Why bust up a good 4B11 motor with a cheap turbo?

Read on on how cheap eBone turbos are total junk....

With the high compression that the 4B11 motor already has, you won't have that much headroom in the first place.

Not making any sense ... Find a DSM, go from there and do it right - be worth the money spent.

It's a 4g69 motor. I don't really like the dsms look Or else I would have one

You might be posting in the wrong place all together my suggestion. Keep quiet and just read I'm not saying don't post. But your cheap eBay turbo isn't answer. We like DSM s here. And youd do yourself a favor to stick to searching. And reading.

I thought all ralliarts were basically a detuned evo... 230ish hp instead of the 291.... Guess I learned something new

I meant no disrespect. It is a stroked evo motor with a single overhead cam with variable valve viming. With 8 psi some make 250ish whp... I am on the fence about the turbo some have told me to just use it til it goes bad and some say buy a real 16g was trying to keep everything it on a budget..

Buy a real MHI one or you will be budgeting engine parts after it falls apart and goes through your engine. I hope you have something to tune with as, well.

Only EVOXs have 4b11s.

Looks like I'll be in the market for a real mhi turbo than.. I'm using a 3 bar map sensor and 600cc injectors and the reflash on the stock ecu can be used as N/A and when the map sensor senses pressure than it will adjust fuel and timing the tuner goes by hackish.
