Hey guys. Saturday night i picked up a great running GS-T. I bought it from a kid that was using it temporarily while he got back in the Honda game. There are a few downfalls of the car. It's missing two side skirts, the front bumper needs replacing, and theres a good fist size dent in the quarter panel ( same as my last two actually). 2nd It's a pretty high miles car. 215000 miles. BUT. The motor and trans has been replaced, there is a receipt. The engine runs smooth and gets up in RPMS without any hesitation thankfully. It burns nothing and every spark plug is dry. The gears are like a dsm tranny.. No grinds but not comfy. 3rd thing, custom color. Midnight blue, looks and shines nice, but going to be a bi*** when I replace the panels needed. Drove it home that night in 15 degree weather. Grand total, $800. He also threw in a greddy BOV. So, once the bov sells, its a 650 car. Has leather and power everything. sunroof, every option you could think of. I plan on using this forum and get some good answers from you guys when I need them.

Congrats on the find, and great deal it seams too! What all kind of plans do you have for it?

Nate

Well I hit my first Hiccup. I tried replacing the front passanger wheel bearing/hub. The axle was stuck in it. I tried a massive sledge hammer and no luck. The axle is ruined. I now need a new axle, spindle, and I have a hub. But. Would any 2g spindle work?

They get frozen in place I had to let it soak with pb blaster on it and use an air hammer to push it thru FYI nice deal tho still.

Well here's my update. I had to order another knuckle and axle. Only a 70$ set back and takes some weight off my shoulders. New valve cover gasket. And figured out why my shifter was so stiff. There's a pivot on the tranny held on by 2 12 mm bolts. It's connected to the shifter linkage. Took it apart and cleaned it up on the wire wheel. It's like butter now!

Nice project you got there!
As far as paint code goes, go to a local parts store (like Oriley's) and ask to look at their color books. What you will get are few phonebook-sized books full of color samples and if you'r lucky one of them will match. Another way is to take it to a professional shop and have them do it for you.

That's a great idea! Thank you!!
