What does oil in the ic pipe mean? It's on the the turbo to ic side. And do a oil catch can make a big difference?

Other than a pcv issue it can also mean that the seals in the turbo are blown, allowing oil to get past them. How is the condition of the turbo? Any up/down, and/or in/out movement of the shaft?

+1 thats where i would start but the catch can can also help prevent this

Thanks for the info. There is no shaft play on the turbo but I am going to look into getting a oil catch can with apporoproiate hard ware from STM.

If the pvc valve is not closing under boost that would be the reason you have oil in your pipes.
Is the oil in the intake pipe too? If so then its coming from the valve cover, replace pvc valve.

No just on the turbo to intercooler side.

Thats odd, if its not in the intake pipe then your turbo seals are probably bad alllowing oil into the intercooler pipes.

A catch can goes in line between the valve cover and the intake pipe. If your not getting oil in the intake pipe then a catch can isnt going to solve your problem.
