My friend just got this game and its amazing. Just to let you know he started with an Eagle talon from 1998 but what can you do. Its awd too.

the way this game looks is amazing. I haven't seen much of it but its going to be a good game.

I played a demo of it and it sucked. But that was only a demo. I might pick it up or atleast rent it.

G4 came to my school on monday and they had lots of games to play and one of it was forza. I played it and it sucks, it was the full version too. barely anyone there touch that game. the graphic is good but the track seem to be too bright in color. and for parts to fix up the ride really suck.

as far as i can tell there are the same amount of if not more parts than in gt4. Also the customization such as tune up has a little more depth to it. The tracks are a little bright but not too bad. I think it is better because it doens't have all the little quirks that gt4 has. Plus its online.

At this point I think that Microsoft is Cannibalizing the marketplace. Seeing as how the Xbox 360 comes out in about 6-7 months I'm probably done investing in Xbox all together. I'll probably pick up a few games between now and 360 release but that's it. Forza demo sucked compaired to GT4 and I've got tons left to do in GT4 so it makes no sense to purchase Forza.

I played Forza last night for about 3 hours on a modded Xbox.

I thought it is a good game with great customization of the cars. I am not a big fan of the controls or physics of the cars when compared to GT/gt4.

Better than SegaGT I think but definately not a Gran Turismo killer like it is billed.

i like the physics system with the damage. That changes the gameplay alot. It has some definite advantages over gt4 but then gt4 has advantages over this. Sure it doesn't have as many cars but who needs a stupid damlier chrysler buggy anaways. I prefer this.

Just got it.
Starting car= s14
Drift! :D
Finally a reason to buy a stearing wheel set up for my xbox...
or wait and buy a new exaust system and CAI for the DSM...
:|

You wanna buy my steering wheel? :D I want to rent Forza but i am sure GT4 is better although I havent played it yet cuz i have an xbox

How are you guys playing it when the release date isnt till the 3rd?
Obviously we aren't downloading it on modded xboxes because that would be illegal. And we are all good law following people.
:shhh:

I'm not sure yet. I mean, I just started playing it and I love it. It's the game that I have been waiting for on the xbox. A realistic game with Tuning and a lot of cars. I was really disapointed with Midnight Club 3 and this is brining it back. Thumbing through the cars, there are quite a few that I love. The physics are really fun too.
But give everyone some time before we see how long the game is and what not. But I think it's great so far.

Thanks for the little review... I'll be picking it up tuesday, i loved the demo so im hoping to love the full version

I played a demo of it at blockbuster drove an EVO and it sucked. When u braked it wouldn't turn, and the car looked a little too big for me. Interestingly enough, the track I was on was the same one from GT4

shit Im thinking of buying a xbox just to get that game, shit! I saw a comparison to gt4, and the sound on forza is better, a wrx actually sounds like a wrx, not liek a bumble bee.

I put some more time into it today and it is getting better. I have 7 cars now and once you throw some mods at them they are much more enjoyable to drive.

Still not a GT4 killer IMO. :sneaky:

Just a quick review of the game I threw together for those of you thinking of buying it...

I played a little Forza last night, and it looks like it is going to be fun! The graphics were a bit of a letdown for me--Project Gotham 2 looks better, IMO. But the good news is if you start your career in N. America, a 98 Eagle Talon Tsi is one of the cars you can choose from for your first car! The whole notion of a location in which you start racing is cool. It affects the rarity and availability of certain types of cars you can buy to race in.

I hate racing games that make you choose a retarded car to start with--some beater that only costs $2k or whatever. In Forza, you get to choose between an IS300, Civic, RSX, Talon TSi, and a few others from the very beginning.

The game physics are AMAZING. If you hit a wall hard, your car pulls to one side because your alignment is off, and on straightaways, you have to adjust your steering so you won't pull right into a wall. You also have to slow down for turns, you can't just tap the brake and powerslide perfectly around the corner like you can in Burnout or NFSU2, etc.

Overall, I think this title is going to be a deeper Sega GT. I haven't played much (will play more today), but it seems to be a terrific answer to GT4.

i think people are forgetting GT4 is on its 4th run. they are 4 games into the series, so they basically know what needs to be done, they have an engine that has evolved over the course of what, almost a decade?

forza is its first of a series. like the original Gran Turismo, its great but its just a newborn child. give it a sequel and a new platform using the knowledge gained in the first and it will be very good. Xbox in its (i think) 5th year is still not using the system to its full capacity. that says alot about a system where it set the limit so high programmers cant even reach it.

its unfair to compare a newborn like forza to a graduate with honors like GT4. even in its unfairness forza still gives GT4 a good run for its money. at least with forza it doesnt have a screen glitch and they finished it without pushing back the date a year or two.
