ok im having problems beating the freaking dirt and snow tracks in normal and hard... i want to know what the technique is and also how the hell do you drift on the regular tracks (the cement ones) anyway do i have to do something in the setting? hook me up thanks. im at 44 percent and i freaking have to do the dirt tracks and snow now. thanks guys

try a powerful RWD car...or some sorry ass tres maybe....its concrete...probably not gonna happen in 4wd... WTF

Play around with the rear suspension setting, try to stiffen them up. You have to really weight transfer alot by hitting the brakes pretty hard or the car will just understeer. Try the Scandinavian flick too.

Softer rear than front, not too low, simulation tires (N1?), a LOT of throttle control, and get a good angle, and you'll be drifting with some practice.

The dirt...pisses me off. :p

Any high hp car in 1st an 2nd cna drift easily... its all throttle control, steering angle, and car setup...

it's easiest to buy the hks silva drift car... its setup to drift without having to do anything to it...

put some super soft tires s5 and drifting will be easy :p :rocks:

i love drifting but i hate dirt... because of the 5 sec penalty :boring: almost impossible on hard because you like cant mess up at all while doing 5 laps...

as for dritfting cement tracks, start with a rwd car (dont go power crazy... a 110 hp miata can drift perfectly well), soften the rear suspension, buy n1 tires, turn off all driving aids and just go at it

If u have to hit the wall.. make sure ur back end hits. You only get the 5 second penalty if u hit it head on.

Used 94 rx7
totally stock
turn all tracion devices off
n2 tires in the rear, n3 in the front

This will help you get the basics down.

if u wanna drift get the viper if u wanna learn the right way get something w/ alittle less hp :thumb:

I know this is an old thread. But the best car that handled great for me, was the mazda miata. A few performance upgrades, and no suspension tweaking. A small scandinavian flick and then small throttle on the apex, then gradual increase rewards me with a great tail out slide and swings me right around the corner. Stage 3 turbo and near perect drits on the Tskukba Circuit landed me a 58 second laptime.

want to do some fine drifting go pick up an elise this car naturally steps out alot of fun and you will quickly pick up with this car. oh yea i use an evo v gsr to beat the dirt tracks just a matter of proper setup. :thumb:
