40mm wastegate on 38mm flange??

My exhaust manifold says it is set up for a 38mm wastegate but I was curuious if a 40mm wastegate will fit on it if I bore/hone out where the flange is on the manifold... If that makes sense.

Let me re-phrase... I want to know if porting my 2 bolt 38mm wastegate flange on my exhaust manifold .080" will allow me to use a 2 bolt 40mm wastegate

yes, as long as the flanges are the same. tial doesnt make a 40mm 2 bolt wastegate, tho. maybe try turbonetics or hks? ebay?

I am not sure, but some of the vendors around, sell 38mm to 4omm adapter flange. Just look around.

If something like this is what you mean... 38mm to 44mm Wastegate Adapter ...I could just make it but I was looking at a 40mm 2bolt that I found googling. I don't remember the brand now as this was this morning but it said it was a 40mm 2 bolt flange but I'm thinking now it might have been a 38mm flange with a 40mm diaphragm. I'll look more into it later.
