I have a blown t-25. I also have an extra 2g mani. My dad is a machinist and he is going to port the 2g mani but i asked him about the t-25 and he said to ask you guys. Does he just use a lathe. Is it possible to just give him the turbo and he can port both sides and then i throw the 2 housing on my good turbo. The seals are the only thing bad with that turbo. I heard about a 50 reseal kit. I could easily pay 50 bucks for a t-28. What do you guys thing. Can i get a step by step to make a true t-28. thanks guys John

The T28 has a different turbine and compressor wheel. You might be able to buy them from somewhere and then have your dad machine the housings out for them. I dunno what the tolerances are, sorry.

So, yeah, pop it apart, rebuild it, machine it, pop the new wheels on, and put it back together. Probably going to be closer to $250-300 though.

I am being general here, but shoot for 1mm or .040" on the turbine side (lots of expansion room) and .5mm or .020" on the compressor side. There are very minimal advantages to going tighter than that, and the penalty is a turbo that is much more likely to damage itself if anything goes wrong. Good luck with oyur build!! Take your time, measure 20 times, cut once.
