I have a question about removing the compressor cover to polish it better. Would all I do is unbolt it and have no worries about the compressor wheel becoming off alignment? Never have taken apart a turbo to see its mechanical structure. Also another question could I replace my compressor cover with somthing bigger. I am currently installing the bullseye power v-trim to4b and heard it has compressor surge issues so I didnt know if I could install a anti-surge housing. Thanks all for the help.

Call BEP and see if they offer a larger housing such as a to4e or to4s cover, I would be concerned about the alignment of the back plate when switching housings. Calling the manufacturer will always give you a sure answer.

As far as removing covers, it will not throw off CHRA balance. Here are pictures of my BB5031.

Make sure you put a bit of RTV around the cover before you put it back together and BE CAREFUL when lifting the cover off, go slow and you won't hit the blades.
