i'll try to find the spacer, i'm not sure where its at.

If you got the cash you could get a new exhaust manifold. I love my tubular one from punishment racing. :thumb: Its build to fit a GT35R and supports my FP Green fine.

If you do not want to have to dent your water pipe you need to get a turbo with a T04B cover and you will have no problems.

Nor do i want to do that I want to keep the turbo full with no funny part swaps, Xakep do you have a 6 bolt swap if you've noticed 2g water pipes are different in stead of coming of the pump and going to the radiator they go through the thermostat housing. Like so.

Uh, I have no idea what you're talking about. I have an NT pipe on my 7bolt 4g64 2g with a PTE SC63 and an S cover WITH 3 inch vband downpipe and it works great. I've never seen a water pipe that goes from the pump to the radiator, it's always gone to the thermostat housing.

Got a photo of that pipe that goes from the pump to the radiator? Seriously, I want what you're smoking. It'll fit just fine.

I used a 1/2 inch stainless spacer and longer exhaust manifold studs adn have no issues with clearance or leaking. I did not have to dent my waterpipe either. But like Quinn said, yo ucan use a non turbo waterpipe just fine with either 1G or 2G motors..

Can you show me a picture of your water pipe please.. i'm confused actually an nt pipe from a 1g non turbo

I'm talking about 1g's it goes off the water pump then to a lower radiator hose on 1g's

Can you show me a picture of your water pipe please..
I'd be happy to, but I'm at work and I wont have access to the car while its getting some finishing touches put on it for a few more days. If someone else hasnt put something up in the meantime I'll take a photo when I get the car back.

I'm not sure what you're saying. Yes, you can use a NT pipe. Its a slightly smaller diameter and doesnt have a water nipple.

Gosh you're running a 1g head then.

Now you REALLY have me confused. I'm aware of no such difference between 1g and 2g heads that would have any kind of effect on water pipe routing. I dont own a 1g but I'm pretty sure the water pipes go the same route.

1g head= the water pipe DOES NOT go back up into the thermostat 2g= water pipe goes back into the thermostat just take a look at a 2g water pipe and a 1g water they are NOT the same

My question to you is, why don't you want to "smash" your waterpipe? Not everything in the car world is a glove fit. So what if you have to take a bit of hammer time to your waterpipe? It's not going to cry and be mad at you after the fact.

correct. The type of pipe that you use is dependant on what version head you are running, since a 1g thermostat housing is different than a 2g thermostat housing.

The 1G waterpipe goes from the waterpipe > lower radiator hose > heater hose

The 2g waterpipe goes from the waterpipe > thermostat housing > heater hose

On a 2g, the lower radiator hose connects to the actual thermostat housing.

The 1g nonturbo pipe is the same thing as a turbo pipe, except it is smaller and does not have the water nipple next to the flange for the radiator hose (which is used for a stock water return line). Most people switch to a nonturbo waterpipe when they are running a larger cover or running a dry bearing turbo.
