The spring pressure is for how much vacuum you pull so when you let off the gas the BOV can open, so if you are on stock cams, say 18in/HG, then you'd want the 11psi spring most likely. If you are running large cams and pulling less vacuum then you'd want the 9lbs or even 7lbs spring. If your BOV is open at idle then you would hear air being sucked in through the BOV. If it is open at idle then you have major problems because that BOV is about the simplest, best BOV on the market today. Operator error is apparent in this situation.
