Alright heres my dilemma, I just bought a brand new evoIII 16g off turbochargers.com, I have had a ss oil feedline for a while sittign in my garage for the turbo, I got a 2g manifold, 2g o2 housing, i put a 34mm flapper on it and also ported it (hopefully it eliminated boost creep, if not a ssautochrome dump will be on order).

My dilema is to run it from the oil housing or not too... I would rather have fresh clean oil going to my turbo and the thrust bearings floating off better oil pressure but I dont know if the seals can handle it from what ive heard. I cant seem to get a striaght answer, I need someone with hands on experiance to help me out here. I will probably just run it off the hosuing hope for the best and if that doesnt work then just run it blowing past the seals for a few days untill i get the other banjo fitting from sbr for running it off the head.

The seals will be able to handle it. Run it from the oil filter housing.

I ran mine from the Head. Worked fine for me.

subscribed.

I would also like to know the more common answer to this one as well.

I installed my turbo today with it from the filter housing no smoke at all. I would go for it, all in all it better for youtr bearings.

I'm in the same position...The Feed plug is stripped out on the oil filter housing!! I'm not going to risk it! I'm going to pull the oil filter housing, and a put a new one on! Good Luck!

Even in the vfaq's for 16g installations, there was never a good picture of the oil filter housing feed location and I noticed that this question crops up on here from time to time, so one day I went out and just snapped a good picture of it. Sorry for all the rust and oil and stuff. I live in a wintery state, what can I say? :)

I already searched and can't find a thread about this for the 60-1. I have a sbre 60-1 and am not sure if I should run the turbo line off the head or oil filter housing. I don't want to ruin the turbo without knowing which way will be better for the turbo. If someone knows, please let me know which is best. I have asked a few people and not gotten a straight answer.
Thanks

run it from the filter housing, but use a -3an line.
i have some if you need it
