I am getting an evo III 16g and I have a few questions.

Can I port the 2g manifold/o2housing/and trubo to matchup with a 3 inch exhaust? If not...whats the biggest I can port them too? I am looking to push the 16 to its max potential on a 2g EM and a gen 1 o2 housing.

wait a sec. are you going to be using the 1g or 2g o2 manifold? You state you are using both. It will be easier to answer.

isnt the 1g o2 housing smaller?

why cheap out on stuff. get a SBR Cast manifold and a Tubular o2 housing from punishment racing and call it a day. i mean, you can port the lip on the 2g exhaust manifold to match with the 16g, but i really dont think you can do much to help the 1g o2 housing.

and i believe all o2 housings are 2.5", but thats perfectly fine, seeing as hotter air is less dense and has no problem flowing through a smaller space into a larger space(like a 3" downpipe).

A ported 2g Exhaust manfiold will take the 16g to it's max.

But I would suggest getting a 2g o2 housing, there bigger to start with and less prone to cracks, they can be ported out plenty big and there cheap.

I agree, I ported the crap out of my stock 02 housing and it is just slightly bigger than a stock 2G. We put a tubular O2 housing with an external dump on a buddies car before he blew the tranny up and it made a considerable difference, definately worth the money.

I thought punishment racing was gone...

I was under that impression as well, I just did a search for their website and couldn't find anything. They also are not listed as a sponsor of the website anymore so they are probably done for.
