MBC-2a fine up to 16psi...17psi it spikes

I got a 14b in my car set at 16psi... When the MBC-2a is set at 16psi it will hit 16 and stay right at there all the way till red line... the second I turn the boost up just one psi to 17psi it spikes to 19-20psi and settles back down. I was having a problem with creep but I got a bullseye housing and it fixed that it is defenetly spike now. Is this a known problem with dejon boost controllers, or is 17psi just too much for a non ported stock 2g 02 housing(which is the only other thing i can think of)

If you're tapping off the BOV for pressure source, switch it back to the J-pipe.
