rebuild my 16g or buy new

what do you guys think, i have a big 16g and it has shaft play, i found a rebuild kit on ebay for like 90$ but is it worth re-building it or should i just buy a new one, let me know you opinions, any horror stories on getting your re-built? thanks guy.

I had a turbo rebuilt by SBR with no problems. I think they charge $100 labor and $100 parts. If you can get that kit for $90, it would be cheaper than buying a new turbo and if you were to upgrade, you would get more money for your 16g if it doesn't have shaft play.

The rebuild kit is cheep but you need to add in the cost for someone to rebuild it. Once it's rebuilt doesn't it have to be balanced again?
