So I know there has been some form of shootout on aftermarket intake manifolds however the results were kind of counter-intuitive. I plan on running CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) models using CosmosFloWorks to see how each intake manifold will perform. However, I need specifications and dimensions for each manifold. I have a stocker I have already modelled up and getting ready to run some cases on.

Here's what i planned to have as constants:

50 trim turbo on maximum flow (49lbm/min)
Standard 2.0L motor at:
3k rpm, 5k rpm, 7k rpm, 9k rpm
120 degree intake temps
STP ambient at sea-level

Boundary conditions:
49lbm/min inlet, 2bar pressure
14.7psi - 18 in-Hg pressure outlet boundary

The purpose of this experiment will be to find which manifold has the best flow distribution, lowest pressure drop, highest maximum mass flow rate through each runner.

The results will be posted within 2 weeks of me getting specifications.

Anyone have any magnus, or any other aftermarket manifold available?

An example of how results may look is below:

This example is from-- uhm... something i'm working with but not allowed to talk about.

There is a roughness term that you factor in. There are standard parameters you use for standard piping, casted surfaces, and polished surfaces.

I have a FRH on my car....not to sure what you are trying to find out tho. You have to remember that just because one flows more then the other dosn't stick it ahead of the other. Its all about the velocity stacks and or runner designes and all kinds of things that factor in. I will help you out tho to see what your results are but my opinion after running the FRH and a buddy running a Magnus.......BOTH are AMAZING pieces.
