Ive heard that this turbo has a history of boost creep. I want to buy it from slowboy racing with the ported inlet/outlet. I dont know much about the creep but i heard that when its ported it doesnt creep, is this true, can i expect it not to creep if i have it ported? thanks guys

it will probably creep a little w/ the porting u can also help eliminate this by going w/ an o2 dump...

hope it helps
Jesse

A regular port job offered by most vendors deals mainly with increasing flow and improving spool up by getting rid of the step on the inlet, not with boost creep. Here's a really good write up on boost creep porting specifically for the EVO3 16G http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=186525, funny he also had paid for the $50 port job by SBR. I suggest porting it yourself like the article described so you can port match the manifold and O2 housing as well. If you decide to DIY, you can post back questions here and I'll do my best to help along the way. Good luck.

Mine creeps to 22 psi + . Ive seen it go to 24psi before. This is unported, with a tubular 02 housing.
