Ok..its like this.
A company that imports eclipses here asked if I could hook up the SAFC II and the AVCr to a car they imported that had been ripped of those parts during the freight. I did and htey also asked me if I could change the turbo in the same time. I am no guru on these things but I can change a turbo though. They sent along a turbo to be put in but I ran into some trouble right away when I saw it.

Its a
Type:T04E
Partnr: T3/T4
A/R 50

It also says <W/L>on it and Turbo ZY and M12 on the inlet side of the turbWTF!!n the exhuast side it has a large T on it. Deos anyone know what this turbo is for??
I have seen teh DSM t04e and this is nothing like it at all so...IMO it cannot be used on the dsm unless I make my own O2 house and turn the inlet of the turbo 90dgrs...but is that possible without hurting the turbo?

I suggest sending the turbo back and make them order a t04e made for the dsm and that are a bolt on story....What do you say?

I have pics of it but no where to host at the moment since my FTP is down :-(

The problem is that the IC pipe is facing straight into the engine. I can make a flange to make it fit on the O2 side....but I think they got the wrong turbo obviously since its definitly npt made for a DSM

Does anyone has pics of a DSM t04e so I can show them how it looks installed?

Edit: Found this on ebay..this is how the turbo looks...almost identical except for the lettering on the turbo.Sorry for the complete pic w IC and all but its the onlu one I found:

Thats a garret style turbo, you need a turbo with a mitsubishi exhaust housing. Also you can get a 90 degree elbow welded on the outlet to make it line up with the FMIC piping.

Me and a friend just installed my to4e 50 trim the other day and although they say there "bolt on" there's alot of denting that has to be done on the water pipe and I had to eliminate the lower water line as the compressor cover would hit on the banjo bolt.

Here's some crappy pics.

Ok found out that this must be a turbonetics turbo. It had this mark on the compressorhousing:

So now I will rotate the housing 90dgrs but I still dont have a Mitsu Exhuast housing...so...it still sems like alot of work to make it fit... I also need to make a flange for the manifold to be able to fit it on . Or do I need a completely new T4 manifold??

you will need a different manifold, o2 housing, external wastegate, and oil lines. You will also need to block off the water lines. The exhaust housing will need to be rotated 90*, not the compressor housing. The oil drain outlet is already lined up with the compressor housing.

Thanx.

I will most likely just send it back to them and make them get me a hybrid with mitsuhousing on it since they are not to willing to pay up for all this extra i think.
Its not my car so I really dont care..just wanted to be sure its like I thought it was when I tell them this.

Thanx all.

sorry for bringing this thread up agaian, but I still havent recieved any answer from turbonetics on this so I emailed them again.

I definitly decided to not use this turbo since its way too much work to make it fit and I got a Big16G EVO to put there instead..it will do for that car'LOL*

Now I just need to find out if this is made for a specifik car or if it is a universal modell of some sort...? THen I can sell it and get some money back ya know..

Wellwell...
