I think I'm gonna switch back to NGK BPR7ES instead of the BPR6ES

I think I'm gonna switch back to NGK BPR7ES instead of the BPR6ES. I was running the t25 at 17PSI with the BPR7ES and when I pulled the plugs they looked very black. So I switched back to the BPR6ES.

I've been using those with my EVOIII16G at 16 - 20+ psi with creep for a while now too, but I think I'm gonna switch now back to the NGK BPR7ES because I'm getting some knock up top and it's getting warmer out.

Anyone notice a decent decrease in knock after switching to the 7ES? I just don't want my cyclinders to get all carboned up again.

I use the 7s but I agree that they have much carbon build-up after a while. They are cheap though so after 2 oil changes (6K miles), I replace them.

I have good experience with 7s, as the 6s go bad on me shortly after I installed them. The only thing I notice though is that it feels like there is less torque in lower RPMs with the colder 7s than the BPR6ES. But I get smoother idle with BPR7s and they last longer so I will continue to use them.

Yes, I'm actually running 8 right now the 7's don't really last to long in my car.

Ya well you have a 60 trim LOL. NGK recommends goin one ranger colder then stock with every 75-100hp added.

I have not problems with my 6es. Are you running 91 oct? I was just thinking of switching to 7es for safety.

Well I took out the 6ES and they still look pretty good. Some carbon build on the outside ring but other then that lookin good. I though they were gonna be pretty banged up from creeping to 20+ psi.
