Does anyone have this or know someone who has used this? According to MachV:

The HKS Super AFR is a compact, easy-to-use device to adjust your air/fuel ratio. It features eleven moveable RPM points where you can adjust the fuel mixture up or down by up to 50%.

It also boasts an industry-first response correction feature, an idle adjustment, and Electronic Idle Stabilizer, which is claimed to prevent stalling or stumbling when an open-to-atmosphere blow-off valve is used.

As with any air/fuel controller, YOU CAN DAMAGE YOUR MOTOR using one of these. We strongly suggest you enlist the aid of an experienced engine tuner, and a chassis dyno, when using this tool. Updated 6/19/02

Sounds to me like it would do the same thing a SAFC would do and also let you vent to the atmosphere. Am I reading it wrong?

No you are not reading it wrong but it only has one map. (like the old AFC) So you can not tune high and low throtle, just one correction can be made basied off RPM.

I'm sorry I don't quite follow you as I am kind of new to this stuff. Does that mean this isn't really something I would use for a daily driver? Is it NECESSARY to tune for high and low throttle? Is there any way I can get away with it? I mean, I'm sure a lot of people used the old afc with ok results?

And just so you know, the air stabizer doesn't work on DSMs, you still will have all the problems venting to atmosphere as you would with an AFC.

Just get an AFC.
