car runs bad as soon as boost hits

alright i just got done installing my upper i/c pipes with a 1st gen bov. i have a number of other mods to. my problem is that as soon as i was done i decided to see how it all worked. so i started low 2nd and nailed it. pulling fine till like 4000ish and the boost spiked to 20psi so i let off asap. and then messed with my evc then tryed again my car won't get boost it just like bucks and black smoke comes out the tail pipe. and im lost as to what is wrong. i can't figure it out ive tryed messing with my afc nothing helps. so if you could give me any types that would be great. thanks

You popped an intake pipe. Go over your intake system and check each and every clamp.

thanks for the help guys. i checked my hoses and i had one off i put it bakc on and tested little to no help was seen though. so i guess i will be doing a leak test tonight or tomorrow. any more help is still welcome
