Well, you got ripped of. The tunerstein software is freeware now, anyone can download it from their site. However, they are no longer providing technical assistance to the people who use it, since they have made it freeware.

Tunerstein doesn't have a problem. It is most likely a setup issue on your end. They no longer support the product or sell it. The makers concentrate only on dsmlink now.

My advice would be to remove what you installed off your logger and then re-add the 3 files needs to make it work.

I opened up my zip file I purchased a few years ago from Tunerstein and it had the following files that had to be uploaded to the Palm Pilot in order to work

Dtc.pdb -- database CHECK engine light codes
PNSTein.prc -- Tunerstein program itself
Reg.pdb -- The registration info. I'm not sure if this is used anymore since it's freeware.

You should first update or at least verify your Palm has the most current software running on it and is it a 3com Palm? He doesn't support Visor or any other makes of Palm's.

You can update your Palm (3com) at http://www.palm.com

Start with the basics before you blame. It could be something simple.
