I have an XS manual boost control on my eagle talon tsi. I think I'm leaking some boost from it. This unit has 2 rubber washers at the top end. I noticed that one of them had some oil residue on it and it also felt loose. I took a tie rod and tightened it around it to make it tigher fitting. Then I went for a test drive and the car felt better. It accelerated better and the boost reading on my guage was more accurate (set at 15psi). My question is...from these two rubber washers, is it possible that the boost could be leaking from the one I tightened? What are these two washers for?

Thank you,
Adrenaline

It's possible it was leaking. You could try a pressure test and man, if you were leaking boost you might have had an 11 second run at 125+ instead of a mere 12.325 @ 123.000 on that T25.

It's amazing how someone can have the knowledge to tune a car to run 12's on a t25, yet has to ask such a basic question such as this. Wierd.

11.050 @ 129.150 mph on a 18g, bwahahahahahahaa:cry:

His dyno sheet from his products said he dynoed at like 308whp, yet he traps at 129!!!! There must be one hell of weight reduction going on with that Talon.

Halloween got you in the mood to raise the dead? :thumb:

HAHA, I forget how I came upon this, but I had to comment. Speaking of raising the dead, did anyone see 28 days later? I want my 19.99 back I paid for that DVD. What a not scary movie, and the plot was not even that good.

Sorry for the off topic nonsense, I am tired and I am out to bed.
