I have the version 2.02 pocket logger software with the Sony clie Sj33 Palm 0s4.0
My problem is that I can't log anything at all. I follow all the instructions on the web site about hooking up the cable with no success. I hook the plug to the diagnostic port and get power from an unused fuse board. Power on the board has been verified at 13.00 Volts. This is a two-piece cable and I was sure to check the connection between the two of then with no lock. The software has been register, so I have no problem with that. The message I get is (can’t start logging check for connection) or some thing like that. I think I have a defective cable but before I send it back, I want to make sure I don't have to do something else to the car to enable the port.
Thanks for your time

To check the connection, go to the View screen, look in the upper left corner, there should be a number showing the sample rate. With the logger disconected, it will show "0S/sec". With the car idling it should show about 57 S/sec.

with the car at idle it stays between 0s and 1s but that's it. when I press the go to start loggin is when I get the check for conection message.

Yeah, that's not conected. Does your Palm support logging? I know there are some Palms that just don't work. There is a list on the Pocketlogger website, check it out.
Did you select any parameters to log? At the bottom of the screen is a wrench icon. Tap on that, and check off whatever parameters you want to see.

well it say's that is support it. The cable is for the SJ series and before i got it ,I sen then an e-mail and they told me it was compatible. That why I think is defective cable.
