Question

Ivey tune north jersey?

So I searched on the forums and on Google for reviews and experiences with Ivey tune and dsm's especially on dsmlink and didn't find what I want so I'm posting here, mods move if this is in the wrong place but I couldn't think of a better spot for help.
So back on topic, I know Ivey tune is a pretty reputable shop but with any shop there are bashers. If I had an evo or supra, I wouldn't even ask, I would know to go there but with dsmlink I'm not the most sure. I called them a couple weeks ago and talked to Dave there and said he is the one that tunes dsmlink if the car passes their inspection. I would like to have some reassurance about going there before I hand over the future of my hard earned money and countless hours of time. Thank you.
EDIT: Also open to suggestions of other tuners, the car will be getting trailer'd there so distance isn't much of a decision killer.

Are you near K.P. Tuning? I'm pretty sure they are firmiliar with ECMLink. I know they tuned this talon:

About 2 years ago, I drove over to Ivey Tuning to help a friend pick up his evo. I spent some time there talking to the employees, unfortunately I forgot the names of the people who I spoke to. At the time my DSM was stock and I was interested in modifying it, I was told at the time by the guys at Ivey tuning they wouldnt tune Ecmlink, they only tune AEM standalone and HKS system, whatever they call it vps or f-con something like that.

I kinda got the feeling that the shop was out of my league as far my budget went. I am sure things have changed since, since ECMlink has also evolved.

JS motorsport is a really down to Earth shop. Johnathan Sanchez works on evo, dsm, srt4 and is a really awesome guy. I have met him numerous times and talked to him about builds. I plan on having him rebuild my engine when I get around to it.JSMotorsports

I live around the corner from what was TurboTrix at one point, still might be but last time I passed by the sign said something else and a lot of hondas were in the lot. Ill find out what shop that is and see if they tune DSMs.

How north are you in jersey? Mawah? Newton?

I passed by it last week half of the Turbotrix sign is there and half is gone. There is a new sign that says nightshift Motorsports LLC. There were a lot of ricer cars in the lot. I heard that Jeff Hill had left Turbotrix.

There is a shop on route 1 north between new road and major road and they have a mustang dyno, but I don't know what they do. I know they do crazy monster trucks, but they advertise that they have the dyno. I'm trying to find a reputable shop to tune ecuflash.

Dave at Ivey Tune? I called there like a month ago and I think it was Dave that picked up and I asked if they tuned dsmlink and he said yes depending on the car. Later in the conversation he said he is the one there that tunes dsmlink. So I'm not sure if anyone else there tunes it and he wanted me as his customer or if he is the only one that tunes dsm's there. If this makes sense because he said when I go there to ask for Dave. Like if the employees are competing for customers or not. We do have a friend around here with an evo that Ivey does all his work and is always complimenting them, but Evos and dsmlink is different.

I'm sorry but I have heard so many bad things about Turbotrix that I'm not even considering them.

I might have to go this route if I still don't feel like I'm making the right choice by going to Ivey when my car is done. Thank you.

That is good news but from my info that I have gathered so it is not Sean that tunes dsms, it is Dave so I need some more input of how he is.

I have put a ton of time and money into this whole build especially the motor so in all honesty money is not an issue to get this thing tuned. If its a matter of dollar signs to get the right tune, I will get it, but I'm not going to overpay for a crappy tune. Tunes make or break a build so why be cheap? It should be looked at as major part of the build. Like a turbo you'll pay $1500 or more for or a trans that is $3000.
I appreciate all the help guys and anymore suggestions or experiences shared will help.
Morris county btw.
