Hi All,

I have upgraded my entire fuel system. I upgraded Fuel pump, filter, injectors, FPR, and lines into steel lines. fuel rail. Now my car has low fuel pressure.

What I have done. Change the filter out still the same, change out the fpr and still the same, I check the injectors to see if there were seated right and they are. I have no leaks. I squeezed the fuel line to see if the pressure rises and it does not. It stays at 15psi.

The only thing I havent changed is the Fuel pump because I dont have a spare.

Does anybody have an extra fuel pump that I could try out. Anybody near NYC?\

Does anybody have any idea what the problem could be.

The car was fine before the fuel upgrade. i also upgraded the turbo but I dont see how is that going to cause low fuel pressure

Thanks

I would check the connection between the fuel pump and the sending unit. You might have lost an oring or hose depending on the sending unit style.

there is a electrical connector on the firewall which when 12v is applied (pretty sure its pos) will only turn on the fuel pump. Only do this when the car is off obviously. But doing this will let you rule out the pump or not

This wire is next to the ground for the timing. Look at the pic in VFAQ for it.

X2

And even if the o-ring is still there it may not have seated correctly when installing the fuel pump. If you haven't already I'd suggest you connect the pump to the sending unit with rubber fuel line and hose clamps to insure a tight seal.
