right know im using a translator safc and stage 3 dsm chip to tune my car! is that too much . should i get rid of one of them. like i keep tunning my car and it looses it tune. i thought maybe they are all fighting each other and cant keep a tune. someone please help thanks alot

What MAf-t do you have? if you have the first one I'd ditch both the Maf-t and SAFC and get the newer MAF Gen II if you plan on running a GM maf or any other maf besides the stock one for that matter
Also try searching there's alot of threads on here asking about the same thing. ...

I ran a maft v2.x, and a custom chip i burnt from 25* to 115*, and from 1,000 to 7,000ft with no problems. I always tune with closed loop disabled, that way my tune is dead center. Another trick is the leave the pressure and temp sensors from the stock maf plugged in, instead of locking them at a set value.

Wasn't the purpose of removing the stock maf, to put a gm maf on there ? It has consequences... that is for sure.

The stock maf isn't in the air stream, just under the hood for basic atmospheric pressure and temp variations. The trick is from my 3s tuning experience. There are no eprom based options for the 3000gt/stealth ecu, yet. ECM is working on a eprom conversion for the 3s ecu's.

It really seems like you guys will do anything to make the GM Maf work.. LOL

On my dsm's i just run a maft and gm maf, with one of my burnt eproms, i've never had any problems with it. I have also ran speed density cars. I didn't really notice a difference, except that my sd car was limited to under 30 psi and my maft setup on the same car wasn't over run at 38psi. What i'm really interested in is native boost control, so my gas pedal gets some function, instead of being an on/off switch.

It really seems to me that you push your tuning solution on people.
