Dsmlink/ecu issues

Hey guys I just got my dsmlink in the mail with my eprom socket for my 660 injs. And when I put the chip in the ecu and installed it on my car. I tried to turn it on but the car woudlnt turn. I did a it couple times and she fired away but she repeatly died. After a few times of trying she starts but now everytime I try to put it in gear and drive off, it stumbles..
A little background information, the car is still running on the stock injs (450s). And I have not plug the cable to my laptop since I am missing the port. It sounds like it is mis firing. And also I just realise I forgot to remove my batter before removing the ecu, would this cause a problem?
Thanks.

Bro, that just isn't going to work. If you can not control the air fuel mix with the link then your not going to get that thing to run. You need to get that link set and tune from there. Hope that hepls, I doubt it though.

Your EPROM chip is programmed for 660's yet you still have 450's in there. No wonder why it won't start.

You need to go to ECU/Logfile > Fuel and set both your Global slider and Deadtime to 0.

Which means you need to get a Keyspan adapter (since you said you're missing the port - I'm assuming you mean the serial port) to convert the serial cable to a USB input for your laptop.

Sounds like the problem could be the fact that the link default setting for injectors are 660 injectors and your still running stock injectors. The car would be running lean from this.

Edit: Damn it Brian types faster!

Yep, try resetting the link for the stock 450s. If that still doesn't work then I'd suspect the ECU itself.

When you say that the car wouldn't turn, do you mean that it will not turn over at all? -Or will it turn over but just not fire (spark ignition)?

How did your caps in your ECU look like? -Were they recently replaced? If you want, I'll stop by your Jiffy Lube some time this weekend (if you are working then) and take a look...
If need be, I can always use my test ECU to make sure that the problem is not ECU related... It's got new caps & already socketed.

Alright guys, problem solve. I toss in the larger injectors and she fired away.
