I dont know if its just me or this happens to anyone else but it seems like everytime I post on the dsmlink forums no one helps me out. If they do, its very vague information that still leaves me still

So I come to dsmtuners, where I have always been helped.
I have 1200 miles on my motor now and im trying to get my fuel trims in line so I can start tuning. But Im having trouble calibrating the GM MAF.

I cant seem to get my fuel trims in line no matter what I do, I followed all the directions possible on the link forums for calibrating the GM MAF. Can someone take a look at this log and let me know why Im knocking at only 40% throttle and about 12lbs of boost?

This is starting to get frustrating. Ill look at my ltft mid and it will say -4.3% for example, so I minus 3 off the 250hz airflow slider and somehow everything gets out of whack after going for a short cruise on the highway. The directions seem so easy, yet I do what it says and it doesnt work for me.

The first file is the 12lb pull and the second is my car at idle. Notice how my fuel trims are no where near each other at idle. Everything I try to do to fix them, doesnt help at all.

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

sorry i im not a member on that site but im using the maft and link also on my car with no issues.i have the maft set to 450 injectors and its left at that, then i follow the links basline
for injector size and deadtime.with the wide band tune the car using the hz table for idle
and steady driving...from the 50hz-350hz.for wot i use the fuel trims and also to get my high
and low longterms in check.

This may not be relevant but i have a similar problem when doing long cruises on the highway.

I have extended closed loop feature in my chip, for fuel economy.
And when cruising at about 3800 rpms at 40 % throttle ill be at about 80-90mph on the highway
( thats just the speed i drive on the highway.)

well it gets some knock in that area if it starts to build boost. This 16g spools up easily and i have to make sure im not in boost, i could be driving and not notice im boosting. So driving in closed loop with 5-10 psi of boost running thru the motor eventually causes it to throw out some knock. Enough to set off my 10 count knock buzzer.

So i guess im saying just make sure its not still in closed loop mode when your at 12lbs.
You will be able to tell because your o2 values/ wide band or whatever, will still be cycling and not at a more solid ratio.

Let me know if this helps:

1. Since you are running link, zero out your translator, tune your airflow, not your fuel, by following the wiki for dsm link. Either this one: maftcalibrationbywbo2 [ECMTuning - wiki] or this one depending on your setup: maftcalibrationbyloggedboost [ECMTuning - wiki]

Mainly, I think it's out of whack because you are tuning with both MAFT and link. Big no no, link first, then to fine tune you can use MAFT (second gen if you got it is much easier).

Get your airflow straight, because if your MAFT is sending the wrong amount of hz to the ECU, that will completely affect how much fuel you will get... hence the knock. I'll look at the logs.
