Cambridge,
92 AWD, MAF-T,14B @ 15 psi,2.5" UIP, 3" exhaust, walbro 255HP (no FPR), ported 02 housing w/ dump, RFL BOV, motor has 100K kms on it. Took car to the track twice in the past month, no better than 15.00 and no better MPH than 90. I just replaced the plugs and this is what the old ones looked like:

A logger is the best upgrade. Whats with that 3rd plug from the lefts gap?

Boost leak test it.

Do you have your BOV recirced like you should?

Without a logger you could be knocking at that boost level and timing pulling. What do you have the maf-t settings at? Logger and wbo2 would be smart things to get.

Change your fuel filter if you haven't already looks lean........ !

I would urge against modifying the fuel curve whatsoever without a logger to know what you're doing. But an awd on a 14b at only 15psi won't run blazing times. Do you have a timeslip that we could look at perhaps? That could tell us if you're knocking on the big end, but getting out of the hole well or if you're just granny shifting and bogging the launch.

I would definatly check for boost leaks and a time slip will be helpful as well. Let us know, Keith.

Check your timing and a/f ratio. Deff looks like your running lean.
Also do a compression and boost leak test

I had planned on checking the CAS, since I was messing with it last year when my timing was off. I'm not sure if I put the CAS back after I had the timing fixed.

Almost forgot, what kind of temps are you getting?

I'm not sure on anything exact, since I don't have an EGT. My car doesn't seem to run hot, overheat, etc. Runs nice a cool mostly.

my guess is boost leaks, i think an FPR would stabilize the tune as well but shouldnt be causing your issues.

i would also do a compression test like stated above, its nice to know the condition of the motor before you start buying more parts.

What do your a/f ratio's look like?
This is important

What plugs are those?
I cant belive nobody noticed how worn and uneven the electrodes are.
I would say you had some missfiring going on

That's a lame 60' for an awd so there's a good bit of time to be found there. A better launch would mean more mph as well. Looks like it's not doing too bad up top I mean you picked up about 18mph in the back 1/8th which is decent for an awd like yours.

You should be able to get a 1.7 60' with your setup and that would bring you down into the low 14's which isn't bad for a 15psi setup.

By looking at your plugs, it seems like your plugs aren't seated tight. Threads on the plugs should be as cleans as when you bought them new except first two from bottom. And if that's an oil on the threads, I would do a compression test and a leakdown test.

Your about 10-13 mph low ! i had a stock 92 laser rs AWD that ran 13.20's @ 103 with nothing more than a k&n filter boost turned up to 17-18 psi and the cat removed with strait pipe i didn't even have a boost controller i used an aquirium valve as a bleeder ! were those the plugs you had in when you ran that time. they do look like they were loose !

Those RFLs like to leak, we've had 4 in my family and 3 of them leaked really bad to the point where when they were swapped for better units (3 tials and an hks) we all gained between 4 and 6 psi and it felt like a motor or big turbo swap with nothing else being changed. Boost leaks seriously kill all the fun. Although thoses plugs look like they need help, if that BOV isnt giving you problems yet, plan for it.

## plugs arent probably loose... i had the same problem... change ## valve cover gasket...

its leaking oil into your spark plug tubes and fouling out your spark plugs thats waht the pooling on the plugs looked like on mine... its just a hint check around the sides of the tubes to see if theres alot of oil

I would say you definately have a boostleak or something causing you to go lean becuase i was running mid 14 second passes on my 14b. My setup was a upper intercooler pipe, walbro 255lph pump, full stock exhaust running at 16psi.

I had planned on checking the CAS, since I was messing with it last year when my timing was off. I'm not sure if I put the CAS back after I had the timing fixed.

:| Please just get the datalogger. I promise you that it will help solve most of the problems and mystery you have. You have to have the logger to help set your timing. To check timing advance. The timing light helps too. Maybe throw an AFPR on with that Walbro 255. Everybody has already pretty much said it.
