ECU Plus Problems

When i try to install the blackbox version of ECU+, it installs correctly but when I go hit new capture it says Error opening serial port COM1. The system cannot find the file specified.

Any idea?

port COM1 is usualy reserved by the mouse/keyboard...you should check your config in windows and find out what COM port your serial cable is on, then modify it in ECU+ .

I might be a little late, but you should ask Tom at ECU+ to give you some pointers. There is also a support forum on their website.

That said, are you upgraded to their newest software release? It has over 30 new features and is a major upgrade to the old software(what i got)

Have you tried changing the com port in "settings->ECU+ win->communications"?

I had to change mine to com 4 before it worked.
