Ignition coils?

It appears that my rough running engine is being caused by a weak ignition coil. The resistence across the primary coils are each about twice factory specs. I just checked with the auto parts store; $260 for a pair of coils. Are there any upgraded coils I should consider since I've got to spend so much anyway?

There are no direct replacement high performance coils.

The MSD Blaster Motorcycle coils work well, but they require custom mounting.
