Do you not have a plug on the end? Where did you get the cable? Can you take a pic of it?

You have 3 wires - if you look closely, 2 of them are connected. Those go to pins 10 and 12. The wire by itself goes to pin 1. Pint 10 and 12 short to put the ECU into diagnostic mode.

the funny thing is pin 1 is power right? i got this power checker.. (looks like a screw driver w/ a light inside - u ground it - then touch a power souce.. if theres power it lights) NONE of the pins on my diag port have power.. BUT when i plug in 10 - 12 my abs light goes on (in diag mode)

Can i put a new end on the power and hook it into a empty spot in my fuse pannel???

No, pin 1 isn't power - the cable is passive. pin 1 is data. pin 12 is ground, and pin 10 is diagnostic control. Just plug it up, it'll work.

DO NOT under ANY circumstances run power to any port on the diagnostics port, you'll fry your logger, your cable, and most probably your ECU as well.

Passive cable

Hi,

i just went through this with my cable... the Red is your data, and yellow and green are your grounds. So with that said:

Red = pin 1
yellow = pin 10 or 12
Green = pin 10 or 12

Make sure none of the pins are touching any of the other pins, and youll be ready to go.

I would recommend using MMCd.

good luck and have fun.
