Any Input On Aeromotive ?

Just wondering before I decide to try something new and out of the norm for a dsm ..

Has anyone ever heard of or used the Aeromotive fuel pump?I currently have a Walbro 255 but I just was wondering if anyone has tried this or not.

Thanks

they are good pumps but it tend not to survive a long distant trip,I have on myself along with several friends of mine.but two friends of mine aeromotive died out on long road trip (out of state) so they keep a extra one with them at all times! sucks.if I nknew about this before I got mine I would of spend the extra change and got a weldon and call it a day.

One of my friend has one on his car. The 255 that you have in your car now can flow enough fuel to push about 500Hp though, so I don't really think that you will need to upgrade anytime soon.

thanks guys..I was thinking about switching to do something out of the norm but since i go out of state alot it wouldnt be wise for me to spend a grand on spare fuel pumps since i can use that grand for other upgrades that i will be doing.

I guess a better question now is will the 255 support 1000cc injectors?if not I just might HAVE to switch in whichj case will the Aeromotive support that?Damn I fell like a concerned parent, altho given the amount of times I have leaned out anyone would be,lol.

I plan on having my car insanely fast (for a chick's car) by the end of this season.preferably before shootout if possible but if not then by the end of the season is good enough.by insanely fast for a chicks car I mean like mid to low 10's.I already plan on upgrading my intake mani, turbo, and fmic. Also I am getting the AEM FMS to replace my old outdated haltec that has been in the car since i bought it.so any input would be helpful and considered when purchasing my parts. Thanks again guys.

Yes, but when you're power exceeds that of the 255, then add an in-line Walbro GSL392.

this is fairly new from aeromotive. this is what im running. doesnt have the problems the older ones did. cost less too. if you plan on making serious power ever do what the big guys do and do it once the right way.
