reflashing an already flashed chip....

I bought my TMO chip for my EPROM over 2 years aho when Todd was still doing it. And I dodnt have anything done for injector compensation because I've been running stock injectors all this time. Well, now I'm switching to 650's and I feel it would make my tuning less of a PITA if my ECU corrected my injecter size a little bit.

Is it possible to have my TMO chip reflashed for larger injectors. I really like my chip otherwise and I dont have alot of money right now, so I would rather not have to buy another stage 3 chip from Keydriver.

If any of you ECU gurus have any information or advice, please share.

There are chips that can be written more than once, however, I don't know if the TMO's are.

If it's a UV erasable EPROM with a quartz window under the sticker and not a OTP (One Time Programable) version of the same without the window it can be erased and reburnt (not flashed, different type of chip). Todd moved code around in his chips so the locations of the injector global and deadtime maps are different than in the stock chips so programs like EvilScribe and TunerPro won't work and you need to know where they are or know how to find them. If it's a 2G ECU very few people and none of the programs know how to change things.

If your chip is the reprogrammable type, and you can find someone with a the same type of chip that has the configuration you want, you're in bussiness. You'll need access to a chip reader/programmer. Copy the contents of the desired configuration with the chip programmer, erase your chip, then reprogram it with the copy of the other chip. Since Todd is no longer making these chips, I don't think it's illegal to do it.

Yes, mine does have the window with the sticker over it. I was thinking that meant it was reburnable.

Honestly, after reading a little about the Keydriver chip and seeing the stage 3 price (only $125), I think I'm going to sell my TMO chip and just get a Keydriver chip. Hopefully I cant get something out of my TMO chip that I paid $300 for....
