Ok My question, or concern...take it as you may, is regarding this-

Ahem from Buschurs site
At this point in the buildup, you should have spent no more than $1200, if you performed the labor yourself. Your car will now be nearing the 300hp mark. A really well-tuned Stage 1 AWD car can achieve ET's as quick as 12.40's at a trap speed of 109mph with these simple modifications.

How the hell can you tune a car without an afc (which is a mod) or a datalogger, FPR, etc.?

I dont get it. Is there a link somewhere hidden that I am missing? Maybe something that mentions, a datalogger and afc of some sort are a give in and are required to tune? 12s on race gas are achievable, but pump? In california we get 91 super synthetic hamster piss. I emailed them a while back about this, but got no response. I did notice this was new though.

Take your car to as much as 300hp - and click off low 13's to high 12's in the 1/4 mile!
Disclaimer perhaps????? I am not bashing on buschur, but I am a little concerned that this info may be mis spread and fall into the wrong "mentality" :D

Please enlighten me on this new form of tuning?

Buschur created his stages probably mid to late 90's. Before AFCs, Before dataloggers, before a lot of things. This info is a little outdated from what is available today but I don't think it is impossible to hit those #s. Buschur did that is why he lists the times and hp. I am sure other old school dsmers have as well.

Buschur has always went to the track on race gas. You go to the track to race so you use race gas.

I used to question times like 12.4 on a 14b ad common bolt ons. I would be VERY happy to hit that with my mods: 50 trim, 660's, 2.5" mandrel/no cat. Spearco 2-221 FMIC GM MAF-Translator. Wideband a/f, Scanmaster. heck even i I need race I'd be happy. They could be talkng about motors with 10k miles and not my 109k miles also. Best case scenarios are usually listed. 12.4 stage can get a guy discouraged if it isn't his car!! LOL Mark
