Is there any software that will log with wideband 02 readings? Does any of the free datalogging software do it? mmcd tunerstein

PLX has logging capabilities. http://www.plxdevices.com/

They also sell a device to convert the Wide Band signal (Voltage too high would fry PDA) to a narrow band signal which should theoretically be able to interface to the PDA. (I have not personally tried this because I have the M500 with logging to a laptop SO BEWARE!!!! Try at your own risk.).

Inovate also sells one http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/ but I have not tried it.

www.zeitronix.com personally my favorite wideband, has datalogging capabilies, and you can get the pump display screen, and also use it as an EGT/boost/AFR monitor. Bling bling.

IS there any free software that does it?... I have the PLX M300, and Im waiting for DSMLink to use it to its full potential, but if there was some phatom free software out there I havent seen yet, id like to know.

Doubtful...a lil complex for free software. You'd have to have a seperate wideband input that would either be run through the MDP or through the use of wires directly into the serial, either way you'd need to step-down the signal before reaching the PDA. Then the software would have to decipher the input, which is not so hard, but still.

As long as your wideband has an output wire for data, you should be able to log via serial cable. So all you need is Windows Hyperterminal and a properly pinned out serial cable.

I have a wideband and dsmlink. Once I get my car back together all I need to do is disable a sensor I will not need (ie 2nd O2 sensor or MAP) and send the wideband signal over the disabled sensor wiring then log the 2nd O2 via dsmlink which is now a wideband signal. So I won't need the serial cable and will be able to see everything in one log file.

You can log via a serial cable but I would imagine it would probably be a bit difficult to match up the two sets of logs. One being the wideband only log and the other from your logging software TPS, Timing, Primary O2, RPMs etc.

The LM-1 has a built in data logger and also a user adjustable output. This means you can actually use that stupid blinky AFR meter that you bought to actually show some meaningfull data!

I asked the same question to Pocket Logger. They said no, but have thought about it for the knock box that they sell.

The LM-1 has provisions to log RPM so once you do that, there is really no need to log using the WB and the logger.

The buick guys have can get a gauge for their knock sensor. I wonder if there is a free port in the block that us 2G guys could use and therefore be able to see knock.
