Daly City,
I have my new pocketlogger and I did one third gear run starting around 3500 RpM . Heres roughly what I had.

From 3500-4000RPM, Timing went from 20deg to 8degrees. After 4000 RPM Timing was slowly rising and I ended up with 15 degrees of timing at 6700 RPM. This was done at WOT

Am I too rich or too lean? I only hit EGTS of 820C.

Really small dips. But not really flat. It has small dips between 4000-5000k. What timing should I shoot for from 4000-7000 rpms? Should i richen things up a bit and try to get 15 degrees of timing and up?

With 720s, you should be seeing over 20 at 7krpm. Do WOT run from 2.5k, this give more data for analyse. Idealy, once you go WOT, it will dip to around 10-11 and rise slowly to 20-22. Flat spot is ok if the graph looks linear. The ECU is not capable of giving timing in decimal places it will have to round up/down the timing to an integer. However, prolong flat spot means there are min knocks and the ECU will maintain the timing, dip means too much knock and the ECU start retarding timing.

Max timing at WOT while running an NSX in:

1st - 14deg
2nd- 15deg
3rd- 12deg

Max EGT's im hitting is 875C. The timing dips down to 6deg in third at 5644 RPM's and slowly builds timing to 12deg. Are these timing degrees to low? Ill try to get the log onto the computer.

This is the third gear logg from last nights run. EGT's hit 875C Let me know what you guys think. BTW, is it better just to go -37 accross the powerband in all RPMS?

When are you in full boost? Why you lean it out so much in the 5000rpm?

Im in full boost around 3800-4500 RPM. I leaned it out in the 5000 rpm so I can get more power..... I guess  I have 720cc injectors with boost set at 1.45 bar with EGT's hitting 875c. I did a couple of test runs yesterday and Richened the AFC settings 3% accross from what I had. I noticed the timing advance alot, and I still manage to hit EGTs of 870-875c. I might richen more to about 2% just to see how it goes. Let me know what you guys think.

What are your O2s like? Injector duty/pulse width?
Richen it up 10-15% and log it. I bet you will see more timing and the car will be faster. You will see a drop to around 13-14 degrees timing when you go WOT and it should steadily increase up to 18-20 degrees by redline. if it doesn't, richen it up another 5-10%. When you get to the point where you have good advance, begin to lean it out 1-3% at various rpms to get optimal timing/fuel control. When timing begins to get pulled from leaning it out too much, richen it up 2% and those are your base settings. Write them down o remember them.

Lean it out. I only have 660's and your AFC setting look really close to mine.

the settings above i richened it up cuz the leaner i went, more timing got pulled at 1.45 bar. let me know what you think

I thought you may be able to go a little leaner but I guess not if timing is getting pulled. On racegas you should be able to go quite a bit leaner. The 20 degrees of timing at the end of third looks good, many people have to settle for less than that.

jeff

I might go 1-2% richer. Just to get timming advance to the max till i get the ITC. So far this pocketlogger is one hell of a tunning tool. Im juss hoping that with this new setting, Ill be able to tear up the streets than what I had before which was max timing at redline 15deg.
