well if you were ready for an AEM EMS which youre obviously not, you would know one of its big features is the ability to convert to a speed density MAS, you dont need either the stock or the GM mas

You don't need a MAF, period. You run a vacuum line straight to the ECU, and run an air temp sensor you have to wire into your ic pipe before the throttle body.

I would also suggest you look into Autrnoic systems, their SMC setup is very nice, and the SM2 model is even more powerful. Granted, you will have to do a lot of wiring, me and a friend had mine done and running in 2 days. I've got a lot of opinions about the AEM, it is a very user friendly system with a ton of options, but it also has MANY bugs. Quick 3 examples.

I was riding shotty in my friend Ryan's 94 Supra SP74 turbo with PnP AEM, and we stopped to get food. Upon leaving, the car would crank, but not start. He pulled the key out, popped the hood, and I took a look at the fuel press gauge to check, and it was still running the pumps with the car completly off! I popped off the + battery terminal, put it back on, car fired right up.

Another example, the owner of the shop helping me with my car, Bill Roberts, was in Virginia I believe a few months back at a friends shop, who happens to be on of the east coast instructors for EFI101 and an engineer for Honda. They were working on his full drag Civic, and couldn't get the FP relay to kick over. He told Bill to "give the ECU a kick because sometimes the relay sticks." He gave it a few knocks, FP kicks over. True story.

Third one is there are a lot of reported problems with the ECU's loosing your map. As in, you're driving down the road, and the car dies, no map on the ECU.

Not to start a bashing thread, but I've seen too much first hand problems with the AEM to recommend it.
