okay I just got done with my engine rebuild.. now the fuel system is as follows:

walbro 255
denso 720cc injectors
Earls 6an filter
6an lead hose from filter to rail
rail tapped for 6an fitting.
Safc2 for adjustments
digital tunning logger for viewing

okay I have only ran the car with the flapper wastegate un hooked so it builds no boost, all my lo thottle settings were at 0 .. when I was cruising along I look and the a/f is setting full rich.. I take the afc2 down till the meter starts bouncing around like normal... this was at -20%

so once I get this thing boosting after break in.. will the AFC be able to tune it out... or would it be a good idea to get some sort of other tunning device (ex. GM MAF , with translator)

The AFC will have enough range to tune your fuel setup. Usually 720 injectors require much leaner settings, like around -38%. What are your fuel trims? LTFT, STFT? The trims should start to change when you drive it for a while, then you can see what adjustments you need to make on the AFC.
