Orange county NY area. Looking for help
Hey well I have a built 6 bolt gst. I have done tons of things to it, but I can't get it to idle correctly. Stalls out constantly too. Is there anyone around that could take a look at it that has a lot of experience with DSM's? I would give some cash or beer or whatever. I have taken it to a couple of mechanics but they all are horrible and can't fix anything. I have a 6 bolt block with a 2g head, 272 cams, adjustable cam gears, big16g turbo, fmic fuel pump. I have injectors and ecu+ for tuning not installed yet. I want to get those in and tune it but can't do anything until I can get it to run correctly. I am not driving the car now and it is off the insurance and all so I can't even really drive it anywhere.
If anyone would be willing to help out or anything please let me know. Spent so much cash on parts and all for this thing, just want it to run correctly. So close I know but just not quite there.

I am running the stock injectors now and stock ecu. That should not mess up the air fuel ratio like that. I have a 190 fuel pump rewired but that is fine. It has definitely got to be something in regards to the idle settings and such. I guess I will have to try and re set the base idle for the car. Right now I just really gotta get it running nice so I can sell the car. Just have it sitting around and so much money put into it. Sucks to just lose it all.
PS anyone want a nice 6 bolt fully built car? Got about 10 grand into it with full receipts!

Anyone know what could be causing this? Anyone local good with idle problems? Could give a few bucks out for sure if someone can take a look and see whats up with it. Hate to just have it sitting around in my yard.

Anyone?
On another note. What is up with this local forum? Why is there no meets and groups or anything? Been over on s2ki ever since I got my S2000 and everyone is always up for meets and drives and tech days and everything. No activity over here.

you fix the problem yet? it could be a few porblems, 1st make sure the tps is adjusted correctly, 2 make sure the idle stop is not backed off to much, 3 check to make sure that the faiv seals have not dried and leaked, make sure you have no boost leak.
let me know your progress i live in middletown

Haven't fixed it yet. I have been really busy and haven't turned the car on until today. Needed a new battery but once I bought that today it started right up first try. Primed it a little before I hooked the fuel pump back up to be safe.
Idled great until it got warm. Once it got warm it died right out. As soon as I would rev it up, the rpm's would fall down and stall right out. I will start checking more things.
By idle stop, do you mean BISS?

well now the idling is the least of my issues.
Now I have an electrical issue I guess.
Blew the alternator fuse by accidentally messing up the battery terminals and reversing them.
I replaced the 100 amp alternator fuse and it started up great. Windows and radio and lights worked again.
But when I turned the headlights on, the car would go to stall out. Turned them off and the rpm's went back up. Then the car just stalled out by itself. It would not start up again at all. Would not even turn over or crank at all. Just a click now. Any ideas?? What could be connected with the lights causing it to stall??
I have not messed with any wiring at all. Could connecting the battery backwards cause damage somewhere besides the fuse?
