Need a hand or a mechanic in Stl

I got a 92 awd tsi in a trade and the thing blew up within a day. Need some help diagnosing or fixing this. Let me know if anyone could give me a hand on this.

Haha, thats horrible! I should have a week off coming up. It all depends on when you would like to get it done. I work 3 weeks on and 1 off so, needless to say I work alot.

doesnt matter just neeed someone to take a look. Got an oil code and the motor shut down. I have never owned a dsm only mustangs.

Yup, Drop the pan and if anything is wrong go ahead and start the tear down. When I built my turbo zx2 I had masking tape, baggies, and a marker and labeled every single group of bolts I took off the car. Just a helpfull tip . I will have a week off coming up next week so I can help you out probably.

Looked at it there were no metal shavings in the oil. It was fairly dark though. Took the timing belt cover off and teeth of the belt were off and theres grind marks om the inside of the cover. Theres oil pretty much everywhere in the engine bay stil wont turn over. I think blown headgasket and idk possible motor damage. Noy good with these cars though

Yeah. Take some pictures with the valve cover off. I had te same problem with a car that I bought.

yes the guy said 16 smthin turbo word for word theres a bov exhausts aluminum front mount and thats all I know of he said he didnt know what was done to it

Proly a 16g turbo post some pics maybe we can help. These are interference engines if the belt has no teeth that means it proly skipped time and the valves touched the pistons. Time for a rebuild.

Even if the belt has cracked teeth then they have a soft spot and can jump time and do the same thing. I will be home wednesday of next week so let me know when you are off and maybe we can set something up


EDIT- I will be home from Wednesday of next week to monday of the following week. so roughly the 19th -25th. Let me know when you want to work on it within that time period
