Saturday October 15th is the Evo vs WRX/STI (showdown) at Englishtown Raceway Park. I don't have my 2g "race" car anymore, but I'm thinking of running my nearly stock evo 8 in the bracket class. Anyone else from south NJ area going up? Maybe we can cruise up there together.

SUGGESTED CRUISE PLAN

I'm not sure who exactly is interested, but I may as well layout a suggested plan to see who is in. I'm coming from (basically) Atlantic City, and it's about 1 hour and 40 minutes to e-town from me. So I thought we could meet up in two spots to accomodate everyone.

SPOT #1
Atlantic City Rest Stop on GSP @ mile 41.4 @ 8:00AM.
This is right above where the AC Expressway and GSP meet so I figured it is a good spot for the guys around my area or west of me. We should leave by 8:15, 8:20.

SPOT #2
Monmouth Rest Stop at GSP @ mile 100 @ 9:15AM
This is roughly half way on the parkway so people north of me can just head there and we can all get together. If we leave spot #1 at 8:15 we should get there at 9:15 at the latest. 60 miles at roughly 70mph is roughly 51 minutes. We should leave here by 9:30AM or so.

Then from here we have two options. We could either go straight to e-town (gates open at 10AM), or we can stop at the All-American Deli near the track and get some extremely delicious belly buster breakfast sandwiches.

i was there last year, and was disappointed of the dsm attendance ,There were only 3 2g's and some of the 1g's ,rest of the cars were evo's and subaru's :(

Yea, the Q16 class only had 3 cars too! Unfortunatley the DSM scene is dying around this area, but it's still a fun day at the track.

unfortunatley the dsms are slowly dying, getting older by the day... and keep breaking, and there is no one really local that can fix one without major rape

i will also be there and i know i have some friends that will be attending with their dsm's and evos.

To be frank, I was asking more to see if anyone wanted to caravan up there from south NJ. I'm right outside Atlantic City.

I'll be trying to make the time to spectate. As far as the caravan idea the only way my car could be involved is if in tow unfortunatly.

On a side note TuRBoTaLooN are you using a similar name on njdsm.org?

Yea, I post up there more regularly than here. It's turbotaloon95 on NJDSM

Looked familiar, you and I had a short discussion about my cylinder head rebuild. I'm StillLearning on NJDSM, just signed up over there not long ago.

Ahh, small world! Yea, I wish I could find you a better shop, but I'm not familiar with any places in your area. Let me know if you want to meet up and cruise to e-town that day.

No worries on finding the better shop I have a few numbers to call and I'm still waiting for my buddy to get some time to look over both cylinder heads I have and see who he suggests using (he's an engine builder mostly dirt track and drag V8's though) not to mention savings don't accumulate too quickly. I'm good for a cruise as long as you don't mind having a mom mobile in the mix since my Jeep isn't the best on fuel and I may be bringing the kids.

No problem dude! It would at least be nice to meet some DSM guys in the south NJ area.

Any ideas on a time and place for anyone who wants to meet up along with a planned route? Possibly two locations one southern location and another further north towards E-town so no one has to drive south to drive north again. This of course only if you wanted to get a formal cruise organized regardless as long as nothing of priority comes up I plan on going.

im from north jersey, im planing on taking my 2g down but not running it, not tuned and wont have the money in time to tune it

so in other words you will not be interested in a cruise to englishtown from south nj. :aha:

ill be there sadly my car won't i will be going down with a friend of my , whats every one doing.

any spots near me where people will be getting together before the track.
im in south river around east Brunswick, new Brunswick.

i hope every one will be representing dsmtuners with a tuners shirt/sweater, we only know each other by there user name, hope every one is friendly enough to introduce them self's.
